The Principal Certification program is a program designed for experienced teachers and other school personnel to obtain principal certification through state approved plans.
All of the Region 4 Educator Certification Programs are approved by the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC). Additional information regarding program approval and teaching credentials in the state of Texas can be found at the SBEC website at
www.sbec.state.tx.us. Program rules and requirements are subject to change at any time due to SBEC requirements.
For those individuals who have an advanced degree and are interested in the Principal Certification Program:
The online application and all required documents must be received at Region 4 ESC by 12:00 pm on the application deadline date. Please note that training cycles are delivered completely online via the Blackboard platform in October, January, April, and July. The blended training cycle is delivered via a combination of online and face-to-face modules at Region 4 only in January of each year.
